Mandwa – The beach connecting Alibaug with Mumbai, well-known from many movies, favourite residence of many famous cinematographers, entrepreneurs, sportsmen and rich people. Being close to Mumbai by sea, this coast has long gained importance. As there is a large amount of passenger traffic here, a jetty has been constructed on a large scale and in a modern manner.The access to the beach is from the side of the jetty itself. It is not possible to go ashore during high tide. Much of Mumbai is clearly visible from the shore.

Local transport is also available to Mandwa which is approximately 19 km from Alibaug. Due to its connection with Mumbai, many famous people such as cinematographers, sportspersons, industrialists, etc. are constantly coming to this place.

Transport –

Passenger traffic from Mumbai to Mandawa has been running from Mandawa Jetty for a long time. There are many organizations operating here that provide passenger services from Mumbai to Alibaug. Ro-Ro service from Mumbai to Alibaug has been started recently. The journey from Alibaug to Mumbai which normally takes 3 hours by road has been reduced to just 90 minutes by sea. With ro-ro service, cars and large buses can also come by sea. Many working people are commuting their travel through this route every day. However, this service is closed during the rainy season due to bad weather. A new spacious parking lot has also been constructed here.

As you land on the jetty from Mumbai, you are greeted by a variety of restaurants and small shops. The newly established pop-up dining restaurant here is a new attraction attracting tourists and travellers.
