Dome at Chaul Bhovale - Hosted By

A round dome like structure is seen on a small hillock on the left side while approaching Sri Datta Mandir from Chaul Square. It is speculated that this structure may have been used for surveillance earlier. The Watch tower is square in shape with three arches on each side. All these arches are closed with stones. The arches between the two sides are open and one can go inside. From near this tower, you can see far away on the east side.

The fort of Korlai can be seen in the west, and the Fort of Revdanda is also in the same direction from the Watch tower . Revdanda fort cannot be seen properly due to tall coconut and betel trees. The hill of Sri Dutt temple is visible towards the north. And to the right of it the temple of Hingulja Devi is also visible. Both these temples are from very ancient times.

This hill is now maintained by the forest department and a small park has also been made here.
